Welcome to the Worship Ministries Page! We were born to praise God. We were born to offer worship to Him. Each week, the Worship Ministry seeks to encourage the congregation toward TRUE WORSHIP. This true worship is not about the song choice, who is on stage, or how many people are in the congregation. It is about a life of surrender to the will of God, and a celebration of the Salvation we have in Jesus Christ. In fact, we happen to take communion each and every week as both a remembrance and a celebration of that very salvation.
Our Values:
While there are many ways by which we can worship God, He is specific as to what our heart should be as we worship. Romans 12:1 "Therefore I urge you in the view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship." We must remember that worship must be God-centered and not self-centered. Do you live your life to get or to give? This is why we offer two services on a Sunday morning. It allows you to freely worship through the music, the teaching, communion, etc. during one service, but then to serve during the other service. You can do this by watching kids, greeting, ushering, and many other ways. We call what we do Worship Through Service.
Our Style:
If you visit us, you will find that you are free to be yourself. You will find our people wearing anything from a coat and tie or dress to jeans and tee shirt. The musical style includes choir led hymns, modern praise songs, gospel, and more. We strive for variety, excellence, dignity, and truth. Services are about 1 hour and 15 minutes, with 35 minutes of verse-by-verse teaching (for service times, see Home). Anyone is welcome!
